Summer Weekend was bred by Emerald Point Farm and
sold as a weanling. Her new owner showed her with much
success during her yearling year, however she suffered a career
ending injury the winter between her yearling and 2 year old
years. Summer came home to Emerald Point in 2011 to start
her 2nd career as a broodmare. Summer also performed as a
carriage driving horse, being paired with her brother, Soaking Up
The Sun.
